New SolLunar Cycle in sidereal Virgo

“Path of Totality” by Tristan Greszko

I am excited to post these exquisite photographs of the recent Great American Eclipse from the talented Tristan Greszko. This opening photograph tracks the entire Eclipse across the Grand Tetons. Thank you, Tristan. Check out Tristan Greszko’s extraordinary photographs of both our mystical heavens and magical Earth.

This New Moon in sidereal Virgo is sharing the stage with Vesta, the asteroid of focus, dedication to a cause or purpose. Expect to stay on task with pinpoint accuracy and laser-focus for the coming four weeks. This will feel good after the recent life-changing Total Solar Eclipse which dismantled us energetically, on many unseen levels, and is still reprogramming us at the cellular level. This has not been easy for many, manifesting as a sense of being ungrounded, not put together right, completely lost. For others, it’s been a time of new beginnings as a radiant joy emerges from a new-found core of Being. In this SolLunar Cycle, we can see more clearly where life is taking us next, more sure of where to place our focus going forward. First Quarter Moon will be particularly dynamic and life-shifting as Pluto turns direct from it’s long retrograde and we are enveloped in the final Jupiter~Uranus opposition.

POST-ECLIPSE MINI-READINGS CONTINUE: I am offering my mini-readings for $44 (a number associated with living your Mastery on Earth) as this Total Solar Eclipse is still very much in play in our lives for the coming months. In this short reading, I will let you know where this historic Solar Eclipse is taking place in your personal chart, which helps identify where and how these dynamic energies are encouraging you already, NOW, to step out of one life and into the next exciting phase. Please send me an email if that is of interest to you. Thank you!

NOTE: I post twice a month, on the New Moon (which includes the two weeks of New Moon and First Quarter Moon) and on the Full Moon (which includes the two weeks of Full Moon and Last Quarter Moon). As you work with and within the natural flow of time and supportive cosmic energies of each unique SolLunar Cycle, you will find your life flow with more ease and grace. My interpretations and predictions are based on the true sidereal astronomical alignments. You can read about my unique way of interpreting astrology at this link: EarthWord SkyWord sidereal readings. Even NASA is onboard now with the sidereal zodiac!

New SolLunar Cycle in sidereal Virgo

Picture of New Moon in sidereal Virgo, compliments of  Star Walk

Here is a list of New Moon characteristics compliments of my friend/sidereal colleague Nick Anthony Fiorenza from LunarPlanner:

“Beginning the Sprouting Phase of the Lunar Cycle, a new theme emerges, a new idea or concept sprouts forth. This is an inner message, an impulse expressing from a field of all possibilities deep within the unconscious mind. Often this process is one of discovery, slowly revealing a simple theme over a day or two, or it may be quite clear and specific, even suggesting a major life change. The New Moon is a perfect time for meditation or a quite walk—to go within self and listen.”

Tue September 19

New SolLunar Cycle in sidereal Virgo: As our New Moon happens tonight just before midnight, much of today is best used in finishing up projects/commitments that you have been lax about completing or avoiding altogether. You might feel oddly exhausted yet extremely energetic, all at once. Our nervous systems are still adjusting to the life-changing cosmic shifts (this wasn’t just an earthly event) that occurred at Totality. Both Sun and Moon line up in boundary-setting, health-oriented Virgo, and are closely aligned with dedicated Vesta, allowing us to keep our eyes and intentions fiercely focused on where we want to go next. Vesta also symbolizes the hearth of a home where the nurturing fire keeps everyone warm and safe. Home and the dynamics of our home-lives will play a major role in the upcoming month. With Virgo, time to pay better attention on healthy habits and routines. You also have better discernment about what needs or wants to be shed.

Wed September 20

Moon/Vesta conjunction in Virgo: Today our newly hatched Moon teams up with Vesta for a super-focused day, both emotionally and physically. This can lead to obsessiveness or being overly critical, which can be a good thing if you need to refine/design something. If you are a worrier, try not to let this dynamic amplify your worries, because it will. Instead, use the undaunted focus of Vesta to call forth faith and trust that you and your loved ones are safe and supported by the Universe.

Mercury in Leo trine Pallas Athene in Aries: If you are in the throes of redesigning your life (and almost everyone I know certainly is, which includes me!), this helpful aspect is great for getting mentally organized and sparks optimistic thinking.

Thu September 21

Moon in Virgo sextile Saturn in Scorpio: Productivity, orderliness and hard work continue as the work-horse Virgo Moon makes a stimulating sextile to organized Saturn. This is particularly good for tidying up your finances.

Fri September 22

Autumnal Equinox for the Northern Hemisphere: Equal day and equal night occurs at 2:02 pm MST. Celebrate this annual shift of our life-giving sunlight from the fecundity of Summer to the harvest of Autumn, always a sacred turning point. Create your own ceremony, even if it’s just a quiet moment of giving thanks. That’s all that is really ever required. To give thanks, for both the light and the shadow of life. Interesting, too, that on this Equinox, the Moon is in Libra, the sign of seeking balance, finding balance, making peace with all life has to offer.

Jupiter/Moon conjunction in Libra: Now that Jupiter has entered sidereal Libra, the over-arching focus for the upcoming year will be about relationships, the quality of those relationships, the need to redesign our relationships, the desire to be in relationship. Today’s monthly alignment with the emotional Moon functions as a seed start for the upcoming year. Take note of the quality of your relationships and their current state, including the relationship you have with yourself.

Mercury in Leo trine Pluto in Sagittarius: Mercury rules technology, communications, our mental state, ideas. Today’s helpful trine to powerhouse Pluto adds a depth and determination to all your mental activities. You might experience power surges or creative urges within and around you.

Sat September 23

Venus in Leo trine Juno in Sagittarius: What a love and loving transit this is, especially for couples, full of good old-fashioned romance. Treat someone who is a true friend or colleague to something special. If you are seeking partnership, create a space or altar of beauty, expressing your aspirations for a beloved so the Universe is clear about what to deliver to you.

Moon in Libra trine Neptune in Aquarius opposite Pallas Athene in Aries: This uplifting aspect encourages us to make time for friends sharing uplifting conversation, life visions and plans. Out of shared conversations, even better options may emerge for all parties. Art venues and festivals will be super-busy, well-attended.

Sun September 24

Mars in Leo opposite Neptune in Aquarius: This once-every-two-years opposition between action-taking Mars to power-of-our-imagination Neptune is a big deal. Today’s event is linked to the dreams and desires you set in motion last December, 2016. Take the next action step or tweak your plan given what you know now. Some people will use this to come out of denial about something, or get stopped and have to face their denial. As Neptune is about fantasy and loves to fantasize, it’s a magically passionate day, full of flirtations. Have fun, but don’t get too attached.

Mon September 25

Moon in Scorpio square Venus/Mars in Leo: The Moon in Scorpio can be both driven and investigative, or jealous and controlling. The lunar square to Mars and Venus (two planets that rule personal passion) can create challenges in relationships, yet also will uncover deeper truths and longings. Also, use this aspect to figure out how to finance creative goals and artistic projects, or make decisions about where your money is best spent.

Tue September 26

Mars in Leo trine Pallas Athene in Aries: Your visionary nature is sparked with this supportive alliance. Take action to make a plan work, pioneer a new way to view a previous conflict or blockage, discover art as a potent and effective tool for activism.

Moon/Saturn conjunction in Scorpio square Mercury in Leo: Saturn is nearing the final exit of Scorpio (at least for the next 27 years!) and that is good news. For the past two and a half years, Saturn in Scorpio has forced us down into our depths and darkest corners where much release and clearing has occurred. Today’s lunar trigger might bring additional cleansing, momentary depression, or diamond clarity to make a hard decision. Honor all your completions with gratitude and appreciation for your hard work, Saturn’s gift.

First Quarter Moon

“Totality” photograph by Tristan Greszko

Here’s a list of the First Quarter Moon characteristics compliments of my friend/sidereal colleague Nick Anthony Fiorenza ~ www.lunarplanner.com

“The First Quarter Moon of each lunar cycle draws an external stimulus to initiate action as we move from the inspirational quarter of the lunar cycle into the action quarter. Now is the time to drop all hesitation and take the steps to move forth on what you were inspired about…it is time to now participate in trust and knowing. Trust in the process. Demonstrate this trust in physical action and you will be supported. This time is stressful or traumatic only if action is ignored. Simply, this phase is a time to work.”

Wed September 27

First Quarter Moon: Moon/Juno in Sagittarius square Sun/Vesta in Virgo: Squares are productive and pressure us to choose the path we will take. This one might involve partnership in some way, given the square of Sun to Juno ~ asteroid ruler of all our key partners and colleagues. Moon/Juno in Sagittarius likes to take risks, but Sun in Virgo is more cautious and deliberate, so take note of and honor different approaches to solving a problem.

Jupiter/Uranus opposition completion: This is big astrological news! Expansive Jupiter makes the final of three oppositions (which began in December, 2016) to revolutionary, inventive Uranus. This aspect historically manifests as technological advances and breakthroughs, launches new social trends, encourages wild, unfettered originality. Some people have tried to stop this natural evolutionary advancement (I won’t name names), but it won’t work in the end, especially under the optimism of Jupiter and radical acceptance of Uranus. Celebrate your own breakthroughs and uniqueness today.

Sun/Vesta conjunction in Virgo: Today, you can experience a laser-like focus, steady energy and superb decision-making skills. If you haven’t started a Fall cleanse (especially linked to intestinal cleansing, Virgo’s domain), but sense it would be helpful for your health, today might be the day. Harvesting the garden and preparing it for another winter is a natural choice. Devour books and written information in a reading frenzy.

Mercury in Virgo opposite Chiron in Pisces: If some situation needs to be addressed that isn’t working, this is a great aspect to find a better solution. Feelings might be raw or tender at first, but don’t give up.

Thu September 28

Pluto turns direct: Pluto is both the love of power, and the power of love ~ fierce, clear, direct, terrifying love ~ at times. Today’s forward turning of transformational Pluto out of retrograde is extra potent and catalytic this year as the Moon conjuncts Pluto, stirring up deep emotions and urges, sometimes leading to a sudden need to purge.Your will power strengthens. Abuses of power will now more readily be exposed.

Sun in Virgo square Juno in Sagittarius: Helpful partners appear to help you with a challenging task. Nuts and bolts discussions in marriages and other alliances lead to confronting impasses and productive problem-solving.

Fri September 29

Grand Square ~ Moon in Capricorn square Jupiter/Uranus opposite Ceres: Grand squares are astrology’s most potent geometry for resolving conflict and getting things done. They also hold a ton of tension that can readily lead to explosions if care is not taken. Because this one involves the upbeat Jupiter/Uranus opposition, it can bring a much-needed upgrade to the places you inhabit physically such as moving to a new location or fixing up a space more to your liking. Family dynamics and caregiving roles take a positive turn.

Sat September 30

Moon in Capricorn trine Sun in Virgo: This harmonious aspect provides steady, calm energy to get a whole lot done or to be filled with feelings of gratitude for recent successes and accomplishments. You can feel very grounded in your body and great joy and strength in physical movement.

Sun October 1

Mars in Leo trine Pluto in Sagittarius: Willful and determined, but in a joyful playful way, that’s what this pairing is all about.

Moon/South Lunar Node conjunction in Capricorn: A sense of completion and success with your recent accomplishments can bubble up through your tiredness. Let go of old habits of control which can lead to healthier relationships.

Mon October 2

Moon in Aquarius trine Jupiter in Libra: Friendship time, fun gatherings, mutual respect, and a desire to make peace with the past are all part of this positive aspect.

Tue October 3

Moon/Neptune conjunction in Aquarius: This monthly pairing activates your imagination to run wild, which can be a good thing, but not always. New possibilities arise, callings from our future selves, so pay attention, and take note of visionary dreams.

Mercury in Virgo square Juno in Sagittarius: This aspect is similar to the First Quarter Moon square of September 27 which carries a similar theme: Juno in Sagittarius in is a risk-taker, but Mercury in Virgo is more cautious and deliberate. Plan an adventure down to the last detail. Be discerning in your choices so you will be well-prepared when it’s time to travel. Renew your passport.

Wed October 4

Mercury/Vesta conjunction in Virgo: Our recent portal of being extremely focused and directed (given the influence of Vesta in this past two weeks) completes as mental Mercury exactly conjuncts Vesta. Mercury rules how are minds think, focus, create. This aspect could bend spoons with its mental power. Harness the incredible power and gift of your mind to think thoughts that serve your highest goals so it doesn’t run you ragged with worry, doubt, over-analysis. Commit to meditating on a more regular, daily basis to enhance longevity. Happy Full Moon tomorrow!
