New SolLunar Cycle in sidereal Libra
“Pause” acrylic painting by Alison Brush
The arrival of a New SolLunar Cycle is always a blessed moment to begin anew and we are afforded this opportunity every 28 days. How exciting that this week’s New Moon is exactly linked by opposition to breakthrough, revolutionary, creative Uranus. Time to experiment, take risks you’ve been longing to take, break free of stagnating ruts of behavior, launch into new creative endeavors. During this period, we will also experience the upbeat annual Sun/Jupiter conjunction on October 26. In addition, some of you may experience increased digestive cleansing and purging, or a greater desire to cleanse, as Mars, Vesta and Virgo continue to transit sidereal Virgo, ruler of our digestive system.
Lastly, as Saturn makes its final departure from sidereal Scorpio, revelations will emerge in the coming weeks surrounding the on-going investigations of our current political and cultural leaders. Saturn always brings justice, and as it heads into sidereal Sagittarius for the coming two years, much will finally come to light and come to the Light. Keep the faith.
Thank you, beloved friend, Alison Brush, for allowing me to highlight your paintings that capture the mysterious intersections and interfaces between our spiritual and physical dimensions. Alison’s paintings and portraits will be shown from October 20-30 at the Teton Arts Gallery/Driggs City Center, Idaho, with an opening reception Friday, October 20 from 6-8pm. ECLIPSE-INTEGRATION MINI-READINGS CONTINUE: I am offering my mini-readings for $44 (a number associated with living your Mastery on Earth) as this Total Solar Eclipse is still very much in play in our lives for the coming months. In this short reading, I will let you know where this historic Solar Eclipse is taking place in your personal chart, which helps identify where and how these dynamic energies are encouraging you already, NOW, to step out of one life and into the next exciting phase. Please send me an email if that is of interest to you.
NOTE: I post twice a month, on the New Moon (which includes the two weeks of New Moon and First Quarter Moon) and on the Full Moon (which includes the two weeks of Full Moon and Last Quarter Moon). As you work with and within the natural flow of time and supportive cosmic energies of each unique SolLunar Cycle, you will find your life flow with more ease and grace. New SolLunar Cycle in Libra
“Emerging” acrylic painting by Alison Brush
Here is a list of New Moon characteristics compliments of my friend/sidereal colleague Nick Anthony Fiorenza from LunarPlanner:
“Beginning the Sprouting Phase of the Lunar Cycle, a new theme emerges, a new idea or concept sprouts forth. This is an inner message, an impulse expressing from a field of all possibilities deep within the unconscious mind. Often this process is one of discovery, slowly revealing a simple theme over a day or two, or it may be quite clear and specific, even suggesting a major life change. The New Moon is a perfect time for meditation or a quite walk—to go within self and listen.”

New SolLunar Cycle is sidereal Libra: The arrival of a New SolLunar Cycle is always a blessed moment to begin anew. The one beginning today is paired by opposition to breakthrough, revolutionary, creative Uranus. Time to experiment, take risks you’ve been longing to take, break free of stagnating ruts of behavior, launch into new creative endeavors. Libra is an astrological sign associated with relationships, art, justice, finding balance, so expect those aspects of your life to be highlighted, expanded or challenged in the coming four weeks.
Pallas Athene in Aries square Ceres in Cancer: The current ongoing transits of Pallas Athene in Aries and Ceres in Cancer are calling forth the need to reorganize, at a fundamental level, our caregiving systems (such as the healthcare system) and also our own personal caregiving roles. The question is how do we wish to support others and be supported now? With today’s decisive square, examine the reciprocity of your relationships, how you give and receive, which includes every form of nourishment or language of love.
Moon/Jupiter/Mercury conjunction in Libra: This positive evening-time alignment sparks an energetic evening of conversation, and a busy mind. You might stay up late reading and writing from a highly inspired place.
Fri Oct 20
Moon in Libra square Ceres in Cancer opposite Pallas Athene in Aries: This negotiating aspect further activates what I mentioned yesterday about taking note of your systems of support, or lack of support. Decide to bring greater reciprocity to all your relations, for the good of all involved. Share your good fortune with others or receive help from another who is willing to help you. You may continue to feel consumed with ways to make your home and environs even more beautiful and serene.
Sat Oct 21
Mercury in Libra opposite Pallas Athene in Aries: This peacemaking aspect is superb for brainstorming solutions, creating a business or marketing plan. Libra is all about honoring beauty as a fundamental, universal, spiritual truth that can heal our world. Beautify your environment in some way today.
Venus in Virgo sextile Ceres in Cancer: Refining and organizing are gifts of Virgo, and Cancer rules our home environments, including public lands. Offer your support to being order, beauty, cleanliness to your environs, like picking up trash for the annual community cleanup.
Sun Oct 22
Moon in Scorpio sextile Mars in Virgo: This stimulating aspect is good for organizing your finances or passionate, healing intimacy with another.
Mon Oct 23
Sun in Libra semi-sextile Mars in Virgo: We continue with the theme of organizing and beautifying your environment, your self. Creating order now will serve you well in the coming days when chaos may return, like being prepared for an emergency.
Venus in Virgo square Juno in Sagittarius: Juno shows up in our lives as any key relationships that are currently front and center. This negotiating aspect encourages entertaining all viewpoints while also holding firm to your principles and desires.
Tue Oct 24
Moon/Saturn in Scorpio: Delve deep in your discussions today, always Scorpio’s gift. Saturn can function as the judge. Think about how you can help someone do a better job without hurtful criticism much like a loving grandparent who offers wise guidance to the young one just learning the lesson.
Wed Oct 25
Moon/Juno conjunction in Sagittarius: Sagittarius is bold, adventurous, teacherly, direct. Partner up with another in shared adventures or engage in direct, emotional honesty in relationships. You might find yourself coaching another, or seeking the coaching of a guide.
Thu Oct 26
Sun/Jupiter conjunction in Libra: It’s a lovely, expansive day when these two luminaries align once a year, like a portal of hope and joy shining upon our jewel of Earth. Jupiter brings confidence, exuberance and renewed faith, but can also function as excessive behavior or ego-maniacal bravado. Your energy can be super-high today, and with the addition of Moon/Pluto conjunction in Sagittarius amplifying all of the above. Today will surely be memorable in a variety of ways, including emerging planetary news.
First Quarter Moon
“Forming” acrylic painting by Alison Brush
Here’s a list of the First Quarter Moon characteristics compliments of my friend/sidereal colleague Nick Anthony Fiorenza ~ www.lunarplanner.com
“The First Quarter Moon of each lunar cycle draws an external stimulus to initiate action as we move from the inspirational quarter of the lunar cycle into the action quarter. Now is the time to drop all hesitation and take the steps to move forth on what you were inspired about…it is time to now participate in trust and knowing. Trust in the process. Demonstrate this trust in physical action and you will be supported. This time is stressful or traumatic only if action is ignored. Simply, this phase is a time to work.”
Fri October 27
First Quarter Moon: Moon in Capricorn square Sun/Jupiter in Libra: Yesterday’s exciting discoveries now progress quickly under the ambitious and organizational Capricorn Moon. This involves the planning phase of what’s next and what’s the next step. Move forward with grace, confidence, enthusiasm and leadership.
Venus in Virgo square Pluto in Sagittarius: The raw truth of our heart (Venus) continues to be exposed under this aspect. Pluto’s influence helps us slash and burn all that no longer serves our higher good, and often shows up as a transforming fire of change. Virgo’s influence helps us stay true to the boundaries and clarity we desire to live now, not being swayed by someone else’s dream for us. This aspect might trigger that digestive purging I mentioned in the introduction, too!
Sat October 28
Moon in Capricorn trine Venus/Vesta in Virgo: The goal-driven Capricorn Moon makes a helpful trine to the heart-focused, values-conscious Venus/Vesta pairing. Are your investments, on all levels, truly aligned with your values? If something is out of alignment, use this aspect to re-establish, recalibrate or realign with the resonance of your ethics so health-filled abundance can flow more freely into and through your life.
Sun October 29
Moon/South Lunar Node conjunction in Capricorn: This aspect takes place early in the morning, marking yet another wave of completion with events about your past, perhaps revisiting memories of an elder or aging pet who recently passed.
Moon in Aquarius trine Sun/Jupiter in Libra: It can be a very social Sunday given the upbeat nature of this alignment in Air signs which govern relationships, intellectual communication. Time to think bigger, stumble upon or call forth a new concept that seeks expression through your network of collaboration.
Mon October 30
Mercury in Libra square Lunar Nodes: This aspect feels like your mind is turning a corner, focusing now in a future direction. Leave behind old thoughts or consciously invoke a new set of intentions.
Mars in Virgo quincunx Pallas Athene in Aries: This solution-oriented aspect brings a refinement or adjustment to any initiatives or creative projects you have set in motion. Don’t be attached to the old way as something more efficient might want to emerge.
Moon/Neptune in Aquarius: This monthly alignment brings together like-minded friends or community members for shared projects, or just evokes good cheer. Places of gathering are extra-dynamic and friendly today with major net-working occurring.
Tue October 31
Moon/Chiron in Aquarius: This can bring healing support and conversation with a friend, and address vulnerabilities within core group dynamics. People can feel raw, but are also more willing to discuss their upsets. And oh my, if you are celebrating All Hallow’s Eve, this aspect will spark especially graphic and original costumes.
Wed November 1
Venus/Vesta conjunction in Virgo: This laser-like alignment of dedicated, focused Vesta with Venus (ruler of love, money and ethics) calls forth a sharpness of mind to know exactly what you want and how to get there. Use it for purifying and refining anything you desire, including dietary choices, Virgo’s domain.
Moon in Pisces opposite Mars in Virgo: Mars in Virgo can be fiercely direct and critical which might feel harsh to the sensitive Moon in Pisces. Explore the tension of the opposites between what you think you should do versus what you feel you should do.
Thu November 2
Moon in Pisces opposite Venus/Vesta in Virgo: Similar to yesterday, this aspect asks you to find the middle ground between compassion for others while also honoring important boundaries that reflect your desires. Consider a visit to the spa or sacred water/grove of trees for calm reflection and meditation.
Moon/Uranus conjunction in Aries: This aspect precedes tomorrow’s Full Moon and calls forth spontaneity and being true to what this evolutionary moment is bringing to you, which can lead to a sudden turn or shift in course, or shocking event. Joyful Full Moon tomorrow!
